Wednesday night.
Jan. 22nd, 2025 10:16 pmKeeping steady momentum through the day is difficult when the high temperature is still well below freezing. It's one thing to be up and stay moving; it's the getting moving that's the hard part. Inertia and entropic decay will get you every time. It's set to stay below freezing until Sunday afternoon, and all I can do about it is keep bundling up in every possible situation.
A while ago, I spoke to someone who said she'd rather have no hot water than no heat during winter; I still stand by preferring hot water to no heat. Pretty much all year except for the sticky parts of summer has me preferring hot water, and beyond that, as difficult as it makes things, cold is something I know how to bear through. I'm doing my best to value it for what it is, whether or not I'm enjoying myself.
