In seeing that my preferred type of computer mouse was sold out of most of the usual locations, I did what any sensible person would do: I went to eBay and bought an unopened box of five new ones.

This gives me a buffer in terms of replacements and also a little time to figure out what to use after the market inevitably moves on. It's a lot less stressful when I can control that sort of thing.
